Seringeti
The 'endless plains' or Siringet as named by the wandering Masai, is a fitting title for this vast national park system of almost 14,763 sq km, the Seringeti N.P supports upwards of 3 million mammals, ofwich almost 2 million will join the annually migration of the Seringeti north across the Mara River. This 'the last great spectacle of nature' has a cast of around 1.3M Wildebeest, 300k of Thompson’s Gazelle and 200k of Zebra. It begins in early June with the herds returning to the Seringeti in October/November. The Serengeti is mostly acacia savannah, with dry grasslands to the south, the wooded highland of the western corridor that Fronts Lake Victoria and north, the wooded grasslands along the Grumeti and Mara Rivers. Masai Mara
The Masai Mara National Reserve is probably the most famous and most visited wildlife Reserve in Kenya. It offers breathtaking views (as seen in the film "Out of Africa", much of which was filmed here), an extraordinary array of animals including "the Big Five" (lions, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros) and may varieties of plains game. Zanzibar Island
The real name for the spice island of Zanzibar is Unquia Island. Zanzibar Island / Unquia is part of the Zanzibar Archipelago that also includes the island of Pemba, 40km to the northeast, plus 50 smaller, mostly unpopulated islands in the surrounding waters. The population for the archipelago is around one million. Most people live on the main island of Unquia, simply referred to as Zanzibar, and most live in the capital Stone Town. More>>
Victoria Falls
The town of Victoria Falls, affectionately abbreviated to Vic Falls by anyone who’s ever been there, lies within the Victoria Falls National Park, just a kilometre or so from the great falls themselves. Still essentially a village carved out of the African bush, Vic Falls is home to a seemingly endless variety of adventure sports. Bungi jumping off the Railway Bridge and white water rafting through the Batoka Gorge downstream of the falls (said to be the world’s most exciting stretch of rafting) are just two of the most obvious attractions.
