This Africa overland adventure is one of the classics; a combination of African game, beaches and adrenaline pumping options. From Nairobi, Kenya we head south into Tanzania, where we visit the snake park and then spend a couple of amazing days scouting the famous Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater in our quest to see the ‘Big Five’. Then it’s relaxation time as we uncover the mysteries of Zanzibar’s Stone Town and Northern Beaches. Here there is the option to take a spice tour of the Island. Malawi is next on our south bound adventure, where we stop off at some of the most beautiful beaches in East Africa and take time out to relax. Crossing into Zimbabwe we spend time in Harare before you have the chance to walk with lions in Gweru. Bulawayo is our last stop before we arrive in Victoria Falls where there is plenty of hair raising options available. This is where this Overland adventure of a life time comes to an end.
Post election aternate route Zimbabwe. On leaving Malawi we cross southern Zambia to Livingstone on the north side of the Falls.
We visit South Luangwa National Park in the southeast corner of Zambia. The park is well worth the visit; recent trips have seen; wild dogs, leopards, lions, and buffalo. We camp beside the park; park entry $25, game drives $40. |
