ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
If there are any political problems during our expedition that may hamper our progress they are most likely to occur in Iran and/or Pakistan. If problems do arise we may have to avoid certain countries and possibly take a more northerly route through Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to reach China. This would mean we may have to bypass Iran, Pakistan, India and Nepal. From Lhasa in Tibet the expedition would then continue as normal.
We have never had to use an alternative route in the past so it is unlikely we will have to on your expedition, but please be aware that it is a possibility.
Sometimes our routes within certain countries have to be altered due to political unrest, natural disasters, road-works, etc. so please be aware that we may have to alter routes occasionally.
If problems arise in any other areas along the route we travel there are always alternatives and we always make it one way or another!
