Day 1 Arrival in Cape Town and book into hotel Day 2 Take delivery of rental bikes and ride out to Cape Point via the spectacular Chapmans Peak. Day 3 Day at leisure in Cape Town, visit Table Mountain, Robben Island, travel the Wine routes or go Shark Cage Diving Day 4 Travel up the West Coast of South Africa to our overnight destination on the Atlantic sea. Day 5, 6 Enter Namibia and ride good gravel roads to our camp site at the world’s 2nd largest canyon. Second day free to explore area and enjoy the Hot Springs.
Day 7 Travel to Aus where we are based for 2 nights. Day 8 Visit Luderitz, Kolmanskop and hopefully get a glimpse of the wild desert horses! Day 9 Ride to the Namib Nauklaft Park and the world famous dunes of Sossusvlei. Day 10 Visit Dune 45, the most photographed dune in the world. The climb to the top for the energetic is well worth the view that awaits you. Take part in a Dune Tour. Day 11 Swakopmund is our destination today. We are based here for 2 days. Sandboarding, quad rides on the dune, shark fishing and a variety of other activities are available while staying at Swakopmund. Day 12 Leisure day. Day 13 Ride to Damaraland. The scenery will change as we head North with its majestic flat-topped mountains, granite rock formations, numerous rock paintings and a couple of other attractions. Day14 Today we have a short ride through some spectacular scenery. We visit the Petrified Forest, Twyfelfontein Rock paintings, Burnt Mountain and Organ Pipes. The day is slow and leisurely and your camera will be working overtime! Day 15 Etosha, the Great White Place is our next destination. Day 16 Leisure day. A half day game drive into Etosha National Park has been organized for you. Day 17 We leave Etosha and head towards the northern border of Namibia and Angola. Our camp is on the Kavango River. Day 18 We travel along the Caprivi Strip. With the change in vegetation you may be lucky enough to see elephants! Our campsite is on the Zambesi River. Day 19 We cross into Botswana enter the Chobe National Park and ride to our camp on the eastern border of the Park. Keep your eyes open for game on this road!
Day 20 Leisure day. An early morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on the Chobe River are your down time activities. Day 21 Leisure day. A transfer to Victoria Falls has been arranged for today. Day 22 We start heading south and continue to our overnight camp on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Day 23 We continue through Botswana on our journey south and sleep at the border between Botswana and South Africa. Day 24 We re-enter South Africa and travel through the Waterberg region to our destination on the outskirts of Johannesburg. Day 25 Leisure day. Various activities available.Maropeng, The Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site. Day 26 Leisure day. Various activities available. Elephant Sanctuary, De Wildt Cheetah Sanctuary. Day 27 From one world Heritage Site to another. We travel to the Drakensberg mountains and spend the night at the foot of these incredible sandstone cliffs. Day 28 We head through Kwa-Zulu Natal and to our destination, Durban. Day 29 Leisure day. This holiday mecca on the warm Indian Ocean has a number of attractions to keep you busy. Ushaka Marine World, Zulu dancing. Day 30 We now head south along our eastern coastline to our destination on the Wild Coast. Day 31 We continue through this scenic part of South Africa onto our next coastal destination. Day 32 The ride today takes us through the Eastern Cape Province and onto the scenic start of the Garden Route. Tonight’s destination is spectacular.
Day 33 Leisure day. Adventure outings to Bungee jumping or Forest Canopy Tours. Day 34 Leisure day. Explore nearby coastal towns steeped in history and natural beauty. Day 35 From our forest hideout we travel to the Ostrich capital of the world. We are based in Oudtshoorn for 2 days. Day 36 Day at Leisure. Visit the world famous Cango Caves, an Ostrich Show Farm or ride a stunning gravel road pass, steeped in history and a feast for the eye. Day 37 We head along Route 62 – South Africa’s version of Route 66. Tonight will be spent at the southernmost point of South Africa and the African continent. Day 38 We ride to Cape Town along roads with stunning scenery at every corner. Day39 Day in Cape Town. Return rental bikes Day40 Fly home.
