London to Kathmandu Expedition

This is a classic Overland journey into the cradle of civilization where you will discover various new cultures and enjoy some of the world's best scenery along the way. From the azure waters of the Turkish coastline to revered Mosques of Esfahan, from the barren Balochistan desert to the cliff-hanging drive up the Karakoram Highway and from the hustle and hassle of the New Delhi markets to tiger spotting in Nepal, this trip will open your eyes!

WEEK 1 & 2: Prague, Vienna, A goulash in Budapest, the Danube River, visit Dracula's Castle, the Transylvanian mountains, Brasov and Bucharest, Veliko Turnovo, Bacho Kiro caves, the Balkans. GERMANY, CZECH REPUBLIC, AUSTRIA, HUNGARY, ROMANIA & BULGARIA, Europe

WEEK 3, 4 & 5: Istanbul, Turkish baths and Turkish delights, Gallipoli, Dawn Service on ANZAC Day, Troy, ruins of Ephesus, Roman Baths at Pammukale, Oludeniz, Saklikent gorge, Olympos, eternal flames, Cappadocia, Belly dancing, mount Nemrut Dagi, Lake Van, Dogubeyazit, Mt Ararat, Ishak Pasha Palace. TURKEY, Europe - Central Asia

WEEK 6 & 7: Aras River valley, Babak Castle, the Caspian Sea, Masuleh, Esfahan, Zagros mountains, ruins of Persepolis, Yazd. IRAN, Central Asia

WEEK 8, 9 & 10: Balochistan desert, Quetta, Peshawar, the Khyber Pass, Karakoram Highway, Hunza Valley, Nanga Parbat, Besham and Chilas, Islamabad and Lahore. PAKISTAN, Central Asia

LONDON TO KATHMANDU!

Alternative Route

If there are any political problems during our expedition they are most likely to occur in the Iran/Pakistan area. If problems do arise we will take a more northerly route through Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan to reach China. From there we will then drop down into either Pakistan or India and continue with our expedition as normal.
