Tour Detail
This safari offers an incredible adventure over nine compelling days that is sure to remain etched in your memories forever. Undoubtedly the ultimate highlight of our journey occurs the moment that we enter the realm of the majestic mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. To be granted access into their amazing world is an experience without comparison and to be able to witness the strong bond within the gorilla family and the quiet, regal nature and awesome dignity of the silverback, is a rare added privilege. Words cannot really describe this overwhelming experience.

Uganda also has much more to offer, including a number of national parks that offer some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in Africa. This is a country boasting equatorial rainforests, acacia savannahs, great lakes and soaring mountains. It is also a land of spirit and beauty, as evident in the warmth and grace of its people. An opportunity to observe the chimpanzees on Ssese Island is an outstanding prospect to enter the world of these cheeky primates.

We leave early and travel west through sugar plantations and into the beauty of this lush and green country to the secluded Lake Bunyoni, frequented by otters and many birds.

Day 2

Across the mountains, to the hustle and bustle of Kisoro, where we spend the night, and prepare for the gorilla trekking the next day.

Day 3

From here we then head into either Rwanda, D.R. Congo or stay in Uganda to trek these famous and beautiful creatures.

Day 4

From Kisoro, we then head back to Lake Bunyoni where we can take a relaxing boat trip across the lake and reflect on the trekking and rest tired muscles.

Day 5

A drive back through the beautiful countryside to Kampala for an evening on the town.

Day 6

Today you can either visit the Chimps on Ssese Island, or the Kasubi Tombs of the Bugandan people.

From Kampala we travel 80km to the source of the Nile at Jinja. Crossing the Owen Falls Dam, we camp on the banks of the river.
