Kenya & Uganda Gorilla Safari

This Gorilla Trek and Game Park Safari through Kenya and Uganda or Rwanda is a fifteen day safari geared towards nature and wildlife lovers.

Despite the beauty of the African jungle and mountain scenery, it's the interaction with the mountain gorillas of Uganda that will be undoubtedly the highlight of this tour. You'll be introduced to your experienced local African guides and trackers who will give a brief on the etiquette of gorilla trekking, before heading into the forest. You'll start by making your way to the area that the Gorilla's were last seen and begin trekking from there. It is a truly humbling and often emotional experience to be in the presence of these great apes, watching them forage for food and go about their daily lives. This personal encounter is arguably the most sensational wildlife experience of them all!

Days 1 - 2 Kenya Leaving Nairobi we pass the dramatic landscape of the Rift Valley to the highlands of Kenya.

Days 3 -10 Uganda Crossing the border at Malaba we drive through rain forests and tea and sugar plantations to Ugandas capital, Kampala. Crossing the equator we camp on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi. Near here we trek the famed mountain gorillas. From the city of Kampala we arrive at Jinja on the shores of Lake Victoria. You can spend an action-filled day white water rafting down the Nile, bungee jump, fish on Lake Victoria. Give up a day of your holiday to volunteer for the local community education project.

Days 11 - 15 Kenya Returning to Kenya and Nakuru Town, we stay at Kembu a working farm. We spend a day at Lake Nakuru, viewing game in a park famous for its soda lake surrounded by thousands, sometimes millions of pink flamingoes. From here we return to Nairobi with the chance to feast at the renowned Carnivores Game Restaurant.
