Chobe's Elephants, Vic Falls, Zambezi River, Tiger fishing in the
Okavango Delta - pillion riders welcome!
Thursday, Day 1
Depart early and follow the scenic route via Rustenburg and Zeerust
to the Botswana border post.
After border formalities, we use the Trans Kalahari freeway to our
first overnight stop.
Dinner will be served in the heart of the famous Kalahari.

Friday, Day 2
Depart after breakfast.
We ride through virgin Kalahari and take in the spectacular scenery.
We now travel through the arid 'Land of the Bushman' with its wide
open spaces en-route to the Okavango Delta, where the crystal clear
waters of the Okavango River beckons the weary traveller to its unique
eco-system.
Our campsite is situated on the banks of this water wonderland.

Saturday, Day 3
What more can be said about the incredible Okavango Delta - all 18
000 square kilometres of it?
Use our rest day today to go birding and fishing.
Boats and fishing tackle are available for hire.
Watch out for the magnificent Fish Eagles, Hippos, Crocodiles and
Otters while trying to grasp the fact that 250km downstream of our
location
this breathtaking expanse of water disappears under the warm sands
of the Kalahari!
Enjoy an ice cold drink while experiencing an incredible African
sunset!

Sunday, Day 4
Depart after breakfast.
We exit Botswana and enter Namibia, travelling through the Mahango
National Park.
We turn eastwards to Katima Mulilo and follow the B8, across the
Okavango River and through the Caprivi Game Park, keeping a lookout for
Elephant crossing the road.
We exit the park, cross the Kwando River and travel until we reach
the mighty Zambesi River where we camp on the banks of this river
opposite Hippo Island.

Monday, Day 5
Brrakfast is at the campsite and we are not in a big rush today.
We depart from the campsite and ride south to the Ngoma border post.
We cross back into Botswana, and ride through the Chobe National
Park to our camp on the eastern border of the Park.
Keep your eyes open for game on this road.
Our camp is on the banks of the Chobe River

Tuesday, Day 6
Day at leisure.
Today is up to you!
Take in a game drive into the Chobe National Park as well as the
highlyy recommended Chobe River Boat Cruise in the afternoon.

Wednesday, Day 7
Another rest day on the banks of the Chobe River.
Take a transfer, via the Gazunkula border post to Zimbabwe, to visit
one of the seven wonders of the world - "Victoria Falls - The Smoke
that Thunders"!
There will be enough time to explore the Falls, maybe bungee jump or
just amble through the market before heading back.
Once again we will be able to sample the Lodge's excellent cuisine
after yet another "Hard Day in Africa"!!
If the most energy you can muster is sitting staring at the timeless

Thursday, Day 8
Depart from the northernmost part of Botswana and head south.
We ride through pristine wilderness areas to the Veterinary Cordon
fence.
Keep your eyes open as often there are elephants crossing the road.
Now in the Makgadikgadi Pans area we head for our fuel stop.
We travel towards our next overnight stop, but first take a detour
onto the salt pans for a picnic.
Our night is spent at a funky campsite with completely different
scenery!

Friday, Day 9
After breakfast we have a pan ride planned for those interested.
"....it is extremely difficult to describe the atmosphere that enfolds
this vast expanse of 12 000km2 of nothingness, the subtle
hues at sunset that change the landscape into a wonderland of

You are most welcome to chill around the pool or take in the myriad
of 'upside down trees'.

Saturday, Day 10
After a light breakfast we head towards the Limpopo River via the
second largest town in Botswana, Francistown.
We have a lunch stop at a hotel and then head for Serule and Selibwe
Pikwe before reaching our campsite at the border and on the banks of
the Limpopo River.
Sundowners and dinner will be served on the deck overlooking this
historical river.

Sunday, Day 11
Depart after breakfast, cross the border into South Africa and ride
home through the scenic Bushveld and Waterberg Mountains to our
destination, Johannesburg.
